2022 Symposium sustain.build.repeat. by the KIT Faculty of Architecture

Dipl. Ing. Arch. Kerstin Müller gave a lecture about preservation and further construction of existing buildings at the symposium sustain.build.repeat., held by the KIT Faculty of Architecture in April 2022. Through imagination she proved and showed manifold possibilities between demolition and preservation to the audience.

In her lecture “Intermediate Tones” at the symposium sustain.build.repeat., she vividly told how reuse and recycling could develop in the future in the different sectors of construction and in which areas this already works today.

Kerstin Müller is an architect and member of the management of Baubüro in situ AG, Basel. She is the managing director of the newly founded Zirkular GmbH – Specialist planning for circular economy and reuse in the construction sector. In 2020, she was elected co-president of the association cirkla, the Swiss Association for Reuse in the Construction Sector. Müller represents the Baden-Württemberg Chamber of Architects on the climate advisory board of the city of Lörrach and in the „Climate Energy Sustainability“ strategy group.
